Attorney III Pay Range as follows:
$49.56 - $55.82 per hour (Annually $77,321 - $87,077) (Non-Bargaining Attorney III Pay Plan, Step 1-7)

Attorney IV Pay Range as follows:
$56.52 –$68.89 per hour (Annually $88,165 - $107,472) (Non-Bargaining Attorney IV Pay Plan, Step 1-11)

Temporary Hiring Incentive of $12,000 ($6,000 upon acceptance and $6,000 after six months of employment) from February 1, 2024, through January 31, 2025

There is one Part-Time Attorney III or IV (Appellate Attorney) opening with the Yakima County Prosecutor's Office. The Prosecuting Attorney is seeking a motivated candidate with a solid legal education and demonstrated record of achievement. The individual selected will be of the highest ethical character, accountable, an outstanding communicator, and have thorough knowledge of the laws of the state of Washington. The experienced part-time Appellate Attorney will serve under the direction of the Elected Prosecutor.

Education & Experience:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law program recognized by the United States, Admission to the Washington State Bar, AND Admission to practice in the Supreme Court of Washington; AND a minimum of 8 years (Attorney III) or 12 years (Attorney IV) of law
practice.

Required:
• Admission to the Washington State Bar and be a member in good standing.
• Ability to complete and maintain all continuing legal education requirements as mandated by the Washington State Bar Association.
• Admission to practice in the Supreme Court of Washington.
• Valid WA State Driver’s License and proof of insurance, if requested; and,
• Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background investigation and general employment verification, which includes fingerprinting.

Preferred:
• Appellate experience
