Job Summary

The Inventory Manager is responsible for the dispensary's inventory and conducts regular cycle counts. They will analyze inventory records, order supplies, manage the processing of defective items, and devise ways to reduce inaccurate inventory reporting.

This role is expected to spend 95% of their time focused on inventory related activities and are held responsible for engaging in the activity of and maintaining accurate records for inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate counts of all cannabis inventory by doing daily counts and performing reconciliations when necessary.
  • Manage and update digital menus to ensure accuracy against current inventory.
  • Support open and closing measures as required.
  • Ensure all products received are properly tagged according to state and local regulations and are accompanied by all necessary paperwork.
  • Reconcile inventory with the State reporting system and POS system to ensure that all information is accurately reported to the state and no malfunctions of the POS and scales are occurring.
  • Keep a clean and well-organized vault area that allows for unencumbered access to products, sinks, cleaning areas, and inventory desk.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to all dispensary staff regarding inventory best practices.
  • Understand state and local laws regarding cannabis compliance and regulatory control measures.
  • Maintain all delivery records and invoices according to the methods prescribed by the General Manager.
  • Assist General Manager or Area Director with quarterly and third-party audits when applicable.
  • Record and transmit accurate inventory data to corporate accounting.
  • Provide ad hoc reports requested by the General Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1 year(s) of prior management experience dealing directly with store inventory.
  • High school degree or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends, regularly scheduled shifts, and applicable holidays.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Able to stand up to 90% of the time. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include hearing in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
