Job Description

Primary functions are to design and perform experiments and to collect and analyze data related to genetically engineered pigs.

60% DNA cloning, genotyping and transgene preparation.

25% Perform analyses on collected biological samples including: Southern, Northern, RT-PCR, western blots and IHC.

5% Extraction of DNA/RNA from biological samples.

5% Prepare reagents essential to analysis.

5% Perform pig breedings and surgical procedures.

Shift

8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday

Others as needed

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and relevant experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

$51,875.00 - $81,744
