Job Description
Position administers allergy injections, allergy tests (prick, IDT, PATCH) and other tests related to allergy treatment, to include performing spirometry and/or FeNO on allergy testing and allergy treatment patients who are asthmatic. This position will also educate patients regarding treatment plan (injections, drops, elimination, etc) prescribed by provider.
Administer allergy injections-review health check and perform FeNO testing if applicable.
Perform skin testing-applying, reading results, and review results of skin prick tests or intradermal testing.
Prep work-prepping charts for vial mixing, answering patient questions, communicating with outside clinics regarding mutual patients.
Allergy patch testing-make patch panels with allergens ordered by provider, apply patches, and review instructions.
Patient education appointments-review instructions on how to take SLIT, expected side effects, dosing, and monitor patient after first dose.
Shift
4 10-hour days 7a-5p Monday – Friday (rotating days off) each week
Minimum Qualifications
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
Preferred Qualifications
Otolaryngic Allergy experience
Participation in a professional nursing organization.
Additional licensure/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range:$29.77 - $43.93 hourly
Grade: PAT-RN
