To assist in actualizing our mission, we seek candidates for the position of Director of Recruitment and Digital Strategies. This position's job responsibilities are as follows:
Design and Implement Digital Recruitment Strategy
- Address and oversee digital recruiting measures through collaboration with internal teams to ensure brand consistency
- Ensure robust utilization of all digital tools and applications with demonstrated knowledge of the latest digital recruiting techniques to plan and deliver an effective digital strategy.
- Develop/maintain a prospective student database and, in coordination with the communications team, implement prospective communications plans/approaches.
- Develop, implement and manage a recruiting strategy and plan to include engagement in initiatives such as high school dual credit curriculum and pathways from community colleges.
- Plan and host college specific program recruitment events virtually and on campus and develop an annual calendar of recruiting events, both on and off campus.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, strategic communications plan to attract applicants, in partnership with the MarComms team.
- Foster and cultivate new relationships to promote college programs including with regional campus partners and advisors to increase interest and awareness.
- Propose and lead continued improvement in efficacious recruiting techniques and customize recruiting efforts for each program in consultation with respective Academic Director
- Manage recruitment budget and determine the best use of funds for recruitment purposes
- Initiate day-to-day management of student centered recruitment related tasks—including responding to general recruiting queries, coordinating individual meetings for prospective students and their families, and hosting college recruiting events—including building tours and special events.
- Personalize admissions counseling to the needs and interests of each individual student, with promotion of special opportunities within the college
- Develop creative strategies to incorporate faculty/staff/alumni in the recruiting process.
- Create, monitor, and report recruitment results and enrollment forecasts based on implemented strategies.
- Develop yield strategies in coordination with MarComms team to retain candidates through program matriculation and manage communication efforts to ensure any/all preparatory courses are completed by candidates.
- Coordinate CoSW's involvement with and represent at all organized university recruitment events as needed, including college fairs, recruitment programs for targeted student groups, and high school visits.
- Participate in yield-related events (Merit Weekend, See Blue U orientations)
- Maintain and manage strong connections with Enrollment Management staff and other UK partners—especially in regard to maintaining strong knowledge of processes related to admissions, scholarships, financial aid, housing, and academics.
- In coordination with Enrollment Management, University public relations, and the MarComms unit—create, develop, and implement timely and relevant communication plans with all prospective and admitted students.
- Develop and maintain a prospective student database and, in coordination with the MarComms team, implement prospective communications through CRM software.
- Develop recruitment presentations to appropriate audiences
- Manage the process for regular updates to recruiting-related materials, including the college viewbook, prospective student website, and promotional items.
- Ensure effective supervision of recruiting personnel—including regular employees, STEPS, student workers, college ambassadors and practicum students
- Prioritize and delegate assignments to ensure completion in a timely and efficient manner
- Utilize time management skills to balance workload productively, manage workflow, and ensure balance with deadlines to prevent gaps or downtime while providing direction and constructive feedback.
- Strong public speaking and written communication skills:
- Knowledge of effective communication methods
- Experience in planning and carrying out professional presentations
- Excellent time management
- Ability to manage and analyze data
- Ability to function both as a contributing team member and lead independent projects
- Full proficiency in MS Windows, Apple iOS, and MS Office
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
- Familiar with distance learning technology and Zoom
- Knowledge of the social work profession is preferred but not required
