What will you be doing in this role?
- Provides leadership responsibilities overseeing the Marketing team including but not limited to selection and promotion, retention, recognition, engagement, direction, performance management, corrective action, compensation, job responsibilities, training and development.
- Develops, executes, analyzes and makes recommendations for the digital marketing plans, programs and campaigns to achieve UMCU's strategic direction and goals.
- Responsible for website management, maintenance and website UI/UX.
- Provides direction for digital and UX testing management and execution.
- Leads creative brain storming sessions and campaign design concepts.
- Responsible for all social media strategy as well as all paid media and digital advertising.
- Oversees market research and provides analysis on member demographics and marketplace and competitive landscape to align vision, direction and decision making in the support of marketing programs and brand awareness.
- Owns the marketing data for all customer journeys. Oversees the collection of data and the creation of metric reports to demonstrate the return on investment and other key performance indicators of marketing plans, programs and campaigns and makes recommendations for changes and/or new ideas and processes.
- Responsible for management of the MCIF system.
- Collaborates with IT and business intelligence team to build member acquisition models.
- Provides the direction for marketing dashboards, analytics and reporting.
- Ensures marketing communications are coordinated, support the marketing plan objectives and meet organizational budgetary requirements.
- Assists with creating and managing the marketing budget.
- Supports the VP of Brand and Marketing
- Maintains industry knowledge and professional relationships by attending marketing and/or credit union professional group functions and educational seminars, reading industry publications and developing industry specific professional networks.
- Volunteers in various activities sponsored by UMCU within the University of Michigan and Ann Arbor communities; representing UMCU at events, internal or external meetings/trainings, team building or UMCU events. Onboarding new team members as needed.
- Maintains knowledge of and follows all credit union policies and procedures regarding BSA, OFAC, U.S. Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering, S.A.F.E. Act, CFPB regulations and Customer Identification Program.

What you will need for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or advertising or related degree.
- 2-3 years management experience and 3-5 years marketing experience
- 5+ years of creative experience with strong brands
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills
- Strong in leading new projects and presenting multiple creative solutions
- Detailed oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines
