Assists the Director of Procurement in providing daily management of departmental operations of Procurement Staff to include, but not limited to, decreasing costs and adding to Benefit Bank, contract negotiation, staff development, creating and reporting performance metrics, technology assessment and implementation which includes participating in and managing the eProcurement platform, including improving efficiencies, ensuring service delivery timeliness and troubleshooting functionality issues. Uses professional contract and professional procurement skills to complete diverse and complex assignments including highly complex projects, such as analyzing contract and purchase order adoption and compliance. Assists in long-term goal development, policy development and implementation, and development and maintenance of vendor relationships and diversity spend. Assists the Director in the overall supervision and management of functional areas of Purchasing. And all other duties assigned.
