Strength-Conditioning Coach

Job Purpose
Responsible for a Division I athletics football program. An understanding of NCAA rules and philosophy is a must as well as a commitment to the student-athlete welfare concept and a strong commitment to the academic mission of the University. Duties include developing and monitoring strength and conditioning programs for the varsity football team; providing adequate individual instruction, supervision, and motivation to all student-athletes in their training programs; leading conditioning drills; instructing all in the correct and safe training techniques for strength training; demonstrating dependability, credibility, and an understanding of Athletics Department goals; and assisting in the general maintenance of the Athletic Performance Center and associated equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of two years of successful coaching experience at the NCAA Division I FBS or FCS level, or four years of other athletic experience at a different level. Must be certified with the NSCA and hold the credential of CSCS or equivalent. Knowledge of and commitment to adhere to NCAA and OVC rules and regulations as well as University policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications


Work Hours: Before Hours; After Hours; Weekend Work Required

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. Administrative Pay Grade
