System Management/Enhancement:
- Ensures that Facility systems are operated and maintained in a safe and effective manner
- Understands, troubleshoots and problem solve issues of basic complexity in mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, and architectural systems/areas
- Reviews design modifications and recommendations to improve the overall system performance
- Performs system efficiency evaluations
- Operates, inspects, maintains, and/or troubleshoot equipment and components
- Repair or replace defective equipment/components
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment runs efficiently
- Installs new equipment/components
- Provides multi-skilled support focused on customer service, quality, cost and productivity
- Effectively and efficiently respond to customer complaints/requests/needs
- Accurately and effectively communicate to Staff, patients, visitors, vendors, consultants, and contractors
- Interprets blueprints, technical plans/drawings and manufacturer publications
- Applies the appropriate codes needed for efficient and effective operation of various facility systems and components
- Analyze information/data and evaluate results to determine best solution to problem/issue
- Maintains record of repairs and/or maintenance
- Performs and records equipment efficiency evaluations
- Stays abreast of changes to applicable systems and components
- Educates "junior staff" members
- Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
- Complies with appropriate Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues
- Associates Degree in Maintenance, Electrical Technology, HVAC or related field and a minimum of 2 years' experience in Maintenance, Plumbing, Electricity, and/or HVAC; in lieu of education, 4 years' experience; required
- Valid Mississippi Driver's License with approved driving history; required
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and analytical skills; required
- Good organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills; required
- Working knowledge of equipment operations, maintenance, installation (as described in Essential Functions); required
