The Office of Admissions works with prospective undergraduate (freshmen and transfer) students, from inquiry through enrollment. The Admissions team consists of admissions counselors, Visit Center staff, New Student Programs staff and leadership.

Job Description

This full-time position is based in Rolla and will supervise the regional recruitment team, including selection, training, mentoring and evaluation of team members.
  • Coordinate and manage the prompt review of applications within the territories of the regional recruitment team
  • Providing training and offering insight to continuously improve processes
  • Work with admissions leadership team to develop recruitment goals for regional locations based on various data sources; communicate goals and expectations to regional team and evaluate progress
  • Represent the University at various on-campus and regionally based recruitment events (college fairs, high school visits, student receptions, Open House, etc.)
  • Advise and assist prospective students by explaining admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, and campus life
  • Cultivate and maintain good working relationships with high school and independent counselors
  • Make critical decisions regarding college fair attendance and event planning; monitor budgets and approve travel expenses for regional team members
  • Provide leadership for various recruitment campaigns and projects, including efforts to increase student diversity; monitor activities, reports, and logistical efforts
  • Plan and execute special events for out-of-state students and high school counselors, including on-campus and regionally based events. Work with faculty, staff, alumni, and business professionals to coordinate logistics for these events
  • Update admissions leadership team on recruitment progress, successes, concerns, and issues, and recommend changes as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Shift

This position will primarily work in Rolla but will manage recruitment outside the state of Missouri. Travel to various states will be required during peak recruitment seasons (spring and fall). Work hours will include evenings and weekends during busy periods.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of admissions experience
  • Strong supervisory, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Slate and Terminal4
  • Thorough understanding of the college admissions process
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $52,223-$58,000 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
