THE POSITION: Under limited supervision from the Chief Deputy Assessor and Assessor, this position performs a variety of Managerial, Administrative and Technical duties in order to insure the efficient operation of the Specialized Appraisal Division. This position has the primary responsibility for the overall management of all Commercial, Industrial, Manufactured Home, Personal Property and Timber/Agricultural lands appraisal activities, resulting value conclusions, and statutory compliance.
- $66,289 to $78,769 per year depending on experience

THIS IS THE JOB FOR YOU IF:
- You have general supervision experience
- You enjoy the flexibility of working outside as well as inside
- You are able to visually observe the physical details of property and arrive at an accurate and equitable appraisal
- You are able to apply appropriate methods of calculation
- You have considerable knowledge of the laws of the State of Idaho as they relate to property assessment
- You have considerable knowledge of appraisal terminology and the assessment process and its inter-relationship with other county departments
- You have considerable knowledge of material quality, cost of construction and of commercial building types
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills including dealing with unhappy property owners

DO YOU QUALIFY?
- Do you have a four-year degree in business, economics or related field?
- Do you have a minimum of 60 months of work experience in management and real estate appraisal?
- Have you successfully completed upper level IAAO appraisal courses 112, 201, 300, 310, 312, 400 and USPAP?
- Are you a Certified Tax Appraiser with the Idaho State Tax Commission?
- Are you certified with the Bureau of Occupational licensing?
