Recruiter: Coordinator for Talent Acquisition
The purpose of the Coordinator for Talent Acquisition is to act as the College's sole recruiter, supporting campus-wide initiatives through proactive recruitment and collaboration with leaders. To accomplish this, the Coordinator will proactively source active and passive candidates to sustain a pipeline; manage the applicant tracking system and provide education to internal users; maintain current knowledge of employment law and practices to ensure compliance with local, state & federal regulation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leverage multiple sourcing techniques and maintain partnerships to build a talent pipeline that aligns with our diversity and inclusion initiatives and meets OFCCP and AAP requirements.
- Understand all position requirements and candidate success profiles.
- Provide hiring managers assistance and clear guidance on best practices that enforce diversity and inclusion with posting creation, interviewing, and reference checking.
- Complete and distribute regular reports on position vacancies, position hires, sourcing activities and applicant flow.
- Work cooperatively with all members of the HR team to develop and implement plans and activities.
- Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring manager interactions, and other recruiting activities, and accurate utilization of ATS according to standards.
- Ensure consistent practices while enforcing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques.
- Recommend strategies related to recruitment and system enhancements to improve college-wide efficiency.

Required Education A minimum of an associate degree is required.
Required Experience Minimum of three years of work experience sourcing and recruiting for a wide variety of positions
Required Knowledge/Skills/Ability
- Strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated relationship building skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Boolean techniques, social networking sites, alumni boards, networking events, and niche industry sites
- Knowledge of employment law related to pre-employment screening, EEOC, OFCCP and other regulations that impact the sourcing and hiring process
- Flexibility in adapting quickly to changing priorities and deadlines with a high sense of urgency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Teams & SharePoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- HRCi and/or SHRM certification
- AIRS recruiting certificate (PRC, CSMR, ECRE, CDR)
- NAPS certification
- ATD certification
- Experience delivering structured trainings is a plus
- Experience with Ellucian Banner is a plus
