The position of Sr Privacy Manager in the Gannett Privacy Office will fulfill a critical role in the development of Gannett’s privacy program to comply with privacy laws, mitigate risk, and build trust with our customers and consumers.

Base Salary Range: $125,000 to $150,000 annually

•    Assist in developing privacy program and implementing policies and practices for privacy compliance
•    Leading the completion of privacy assessments to assess the impact of proposed changes to business processes and agree on mitigating actions with business process owners.
•    Monitor and assess legislative and regulatory developments and update compliance procedures as appropriate
•    Stay current with international and domestic privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and others relevant to our industry.
•    Recommend implementing corrective action plans for privacy compliance violations and work with owners for remediation
•    Implement privacy by design principles and ensure privacy considerations are integrated into projects and business objectives.
•    Leading and assisting in, and review of rights requests and associated processes.
•    Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for new projects, processes, and systems.
•    Develop and maintain an incident response plan for privacy incidents and data breaches.
•    Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness programs to educate employees and raise privacy consciousness.
•    Oversee the assessment of third-party vendors for privacy compliance.
•    Maintain records of data processing activities, and data protection impact assessments to demonstrate compliance with applicable data protection laws
•    Facilitate the fulfillment of data subject and consumer rights requests (access, deletion, do not sell, etc.) for applicable regulations including CCPA and GDPR

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $103,500 and $213,000.  Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
