Machine Operator

$16.00-$17/hour depending on experience. (Those with Mechanical experience need only apply)
Shift hours Monday through Friday 2:00-10:00 PM
PURPOSE: Effective daily operation of a inserting equipment, Inkjet equipment and auxiliary equipment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Set up and operation of insertion and ink jet equipment on a regular basis.
•Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
•Monitor and maintain accuracy/quality while operating equipment. Continually perform quality control checks on all production runs.
•Training of assistant machine operators as needed.
·Set up and operate related DC equipment effectively as needed (i.e strappers, stackers, fork truck, power jack, etc.).
·Operate your equipment safely at all times.
·Locate and stage product for insertion/distribution.
·Maintain a neat and clean work area.
·Adhere to all company and corporate policies and regulations.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
•Supervisory skills. Ability to direct an insertion crew effectively.
·Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment. Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs. at a high level of repetition.
·Good mechanical skills. Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
·Good monitoring skills. Good follow through.
·Basic PC skills.
•Employee must be a team player with good interpersonal skills, communication skills, and demonstrated willingness to work with others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
·Safe exposure to chemicals, ink and noise.
