East Stroudsburg University is hiring an Keystone LSAMP Project Coordinator! Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU's proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides convenient access to internships, careers and social activities. Just minutes from campus are the country's largest water parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other opportunities for recreational fun.
As the Keystone LSAMP Project Coordinator, you will need to think creatively and be comfortable serving as the primary point of contact to both internal & external parties that will initiate contact for various inquires to ESU associated with the LSAMP Program. You will be an active member of the Physics team and will work closely with the ESU Principal Investigators to support them by providing administrative and logistical assistance to reach all grant objectives. You will thrive in this role if you like combining your administrative and customer service experience while recruiting/advertising for the LSAMP program. To be successful in this role, you must possess detailed knowledge of the LSAMP Program, communicate effectively about the program acting as its advocate, and oversee many logistical aspects associated with the program's execution.
The hours for this position are flexible but will take place between Monday to Friday. This is a Temporary hourly paid, grant funded position. This position will require 10% travel to local schools. You may have to flex your schedule from time to time based on the needs of the business to be a true Keystone LSAMP Project Coordinator. What Will I Do At ESU? (AKA Essential Duties)
- Maintain programmatic files as required by the grant, in both digital and hard copy formats.
- Provide all administrative tasks required for the LSAMP grant.
- Respond to inquiries about the Program from interested parties both internal and external from the university.
- Assist with recruitment and advertising duties associated with the LSAMP Program.
- Support the team through procurement and administrative tasks associated with grant-related faculty and staff compensation.
- Perform other related work as required.
- Bachelor's degree required; bachelor's degree in scientific discipline preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and quantitative skills required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites, spreadsheets, presentation software and TEAMS required.
- Experience working in and/or volunteering in secondary public schools preferred.
- Ability to work independently and remain focused and on task required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Able to read, write, and comprehend English; able to follow verbal instructions.
- Experience with Word, Excel, Teams required.
- Hourly Rate: $22.54
