Position Purpose

Leads the planning and execution for delivering a world-class program experience for in-person, virtual, and hybrid executive education programs. In partnership with program stakeholders, contributes significantly to the vision and strategy for the execution of programs to meet learning objective needs. Typically assigned to more complex, custom, and global programs.

Alongside its outstanding MBA program, the Tuck School of Business offers a correspondingly distinctive portfolio of business education programs for unique professional and executive audiences. The program experience team within Tuck Executive Education ( TEE) is at the center of logistical, administrative, and client service needs for our programs, ensuring that programs operate smoothly and at a high execution standard, creating a personal, connected, and transformative experience for our participants.

As associate director, you will provide program experience leadership, overseeing our most complex program logistics, client relationships, and contributing to initiatives that elevate the team's effectiveness. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the direction of our executive education programs, fostering client satisfaction and driving the success of strategic projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in program and event management, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive initiatives that enhance overall program experience.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp

Bachelors plus 6 or more years' experience or combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  1. Extensive experience planning and producing complex professional, multi-day conferences, education and training programs, and/or other events of similar complexity, in a complex environment and involving clients with high expectations of client service, including traveling presenters, a wide variety of participants, and senior executives
  2. Extensive project management experience and experience and skill implementing, managing, and improving complex administrative process workflows and projects using digital tools for a high performing professional services team serving diverse internal and external constituencies
  3. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively at a high operational tempo
  4. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  6. Significant experience fostering positive relationships with participants, corporate clients, faculty members, and other stakeholders
  7. Proven experience delivering programs in a university setting or other complex environment.
  8. Bachelor's degree, preferably in liberal arts, business or event management/hospitality and/or relevant work experience.
  9. Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of program participants and alumni, faculty, and fellow colleagues.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications, and ability to learn new digital tools as required by program needs
  11. Willingness to work some evenings and weekends to facilitate programs while in session
  12. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience planning and delivering international educational programs
  • Proficiency customer relationship and/or learning management systems (e.g. Canvas) and CRM (e.g. Salesforce).

Key Accountabilities

Description

1. Program Development, Planning, and Leadership:
  • Lead logistical planning and implementation of assigned executive education programs, including venue selection, accommodations, catering, facilities, A/V and IT needs, materials, and staffing, ensuring seamless execution of all logistical arrangements before, during, and after each program
  • Collaborate with internal and external providers to secure necessary resources and services for program delivery and work closely with business development and faculty colleagues to develop the program schedule and prepare program content
  • Mentor and guide program experience colleagues in their roles, fostering professional growth and client service excellence; work with director in delegating and distributing work and program coverage across program experience team
  • Using participant and client feedback and knowledge of best practices, make recommendations to continuously improve the program delivery efficiency and overall experience
  • Prepare and distribute program materials, participant communications, pre-program information, and post-program evaluations, in digital and physical formats, and maintain accurate participant records through use of CRM and other digital tools

2.Client experience:
  • Create a professional, well-organized, and high-quality program experience that meets the same high level as the program content and embodies Tuck's personal, connected, and transformative brand promise, often at offsite locations both domestically and internationally
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants, corporate clients, faculty, and other external partners during program deliveries, exhibiting a high level of poise and professionalism
  • In consultation with business development colleagues and TEE leadership, act as a primary liaison for select custom and consortium program clients, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with program participants, faculty, clients, and partners, both externally and internally
  • Anticipate questions, needs, and issues and address them proactively to ensure a positive client experience

3.Team collaboration and innovation:
  • In partnership with executive education leadership and through knowledge of executive education market trends, generate, develop, and lead strategic initiatives that enhance the overall success of the executive education programs
  • Work cross-functionally with executive education colleagues to ensure integration between program experience, marketing, sales, and operations
  • Provide oversight for shared departmental functions such as service provider relationships, master calendar management, invoice processing, and process improvements
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on industry trends and program evaluations
