Summary
This position's role is to support the content management of APTA's digital presence. This position will make updates in our content management platforms on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be able to work with staff across the organization and must be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, while showing a strong eye for quality and detail, and will ensure the web and email user experience is optimized and that we deliver on our brand promise to be the trusted leader for the profession.
As a member of the Member Experience team, you will implement efforts to support organizational priorities and activities within the Brand Strategy and Communications department. You will support unit efforts with a focus on departmental contributions to systems and data strategy, membership strategy, scientific strategy, education and certification strategy, and business strategy for the Association. You will participate and support efforts for appointed and member volunteer groups and APTA leadership. You will support preparation of compliance requirements and documents and seeks out opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities. You will be an effective champion of the Association vision, mission, and brand.
Essential Functions
- Builds and updates webpages in APTA's content manager, Optimizely (formerly Episerver).
- Maintains the user experience for APTA's websites by implementing consistent styles and content governance standards.
- Reviews site analytics, including user feedback, and responds quickly to needed fixes.
- Responds to website-related questions that come through our customer service portal, Freshdesk and assists in monitoring and responding to requests in web inbox.
- Schedules, builds, and tests emails in APTA's content manager, Informz, a HigherLogic platform.
- Ensures appropriate implementation of audience targeting and opt-outs.
- Designs emails that adhere to the association's brand and style guidelines.
- Assists in email campaign building, monitoring and management.
- Supports social media content creation and posting.
- Supports the creation, publication, and promotion of video content.
- Regularly reviews email analytics to ensure delivery, looks for engagement. trends and anomalies, and shares this feedback with appropriate stakeholders.
- Organize, track, and update work progress work through use of APTA's project management tools.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, required, or applicable experience.
- Three to five years of website management experience or related digital communications experience, including targeted email management.
- Working knowledge of best practices for website and email communications
- Eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Website development design experience preferred.
- Writing and editing experience preferred.
- Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
- Experience producing reports/charts/graphs and analyzing data.
